For the last 2.5 years, I have been working as Design Lead at Qvalia Group. With this platform, finance teams get a full suite of cloud-based automation tools to manage daily tasks, invoices, approval workflows, sales, and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Design through collaboration
- Work closely with designers (both in-house & outside design consultants) + Outside design agencies who often helped us with parts of our workload. Manage team workload, project resourcing and coordination in a fast-paced, highly distributed environment.
- Drive the evolution of the multifaceted product design language composed of UX, UI & brand experience.
- Create design routines & methods for the team to follow
- Having a hands-on approach, despite other responsibilities, creating about 80% of the initial UX solution/designs & 25% of the UI final designs.
- Understand customer needs by planning and conducting user research and competitor analysis
Product Roadmap, Strategy
- Have meaningful ownership. Own design strategy and implementation from start to finish for the product, online presence, and go-to-market collaterals.
- Working closely with the top management to define product strategies and vision. Develop product roadmaps and user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Lead & Mentor
- Provide direction and mentorship to a team of Product Designers
- Lead, mentor and grow the product design team and co-create design processes and while working with product & development to deliver intuitive and impactful results
1. A completely new visual identity
+ Creating a Design System
A Design System UI Kit for Sketch based on the Atomic Design framework. Atomic Design is a powerful tool which can be used to improve design workflows and facilitate an effective design system framework. The components were confined within Angular Material UI Components.
2. Ground up re-design of the whole SaaS platform.
A redesign of the platform from a ground up. From UX and UI standpoint and a full visual re-branding.
3. Re-design of the previous website.
After a series of workshops and initial testings thus small incremental improvements.
