Responsibility: Design System Lead for Global Patterns
During my time at Scania, I was responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of their ‘Global Patterns’ system, a critical part of a large-scale transformation from analog to digital systems. This project aimed to ensure that the new digital infrastructure was not only more efficient and modern but also sustainable, accurate, and cohesive across the board.
The scope of the project was immense, with over 80 designers collaborating to bring this vision to life. My role involved ensuring that the system we were building maintained consistency and alignment with Scania’s overall strategy and design principles. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to implement adjustments and improvements that would future-proof the system while addressing both user and business needs.
By leading the ‘Global Patterns’ initiative, I contributed to creating a cohesive, scalable design framework that will support Scania’s digital transformation efforts for years to come.
